We are delighted to announce the signing of 20 year-old right back Jake Sheppard on loan until the end of the season.

The youngster makes the temporary switch from Reading to join the Lions and made his full GAFC debut in Saturday’s match at Tranmere.

Sheppard did enjoy a loan move to Dagenham and Redbridge last season scoring twice in 10 appearances for the Essex based side.

Jake is an attacking full-back and is well-known for his abilities of playing further up the park.

The young defender has also represented his country, Scotland, at youth level; and was part of the Scottish squad that made the UEFA U17s Championship semi-finals in May 2014 and has since gone on to play for the U21s.

Jake will wear shirt number 41 and is available to sponsor.
