The striker joined the club on 2nd October 2021 after a spell with Alfreton Town and now links up with Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill.
Shaun has played with captain Hazma Bencherif at FC Halifax Town and also names Barnsley, Grimsby, Barrow, Spennymoor Town, Boston United and Chester amongst his former clubs.
The experienced forward, born in Sheffield, adds another option to The Lions’ frontline following the departur.
Shaun made his debut as a late substitute in the 1-0 Emirates FA Cup third round qualifying win at Nethermoor over Blyth Spartans on the day of his signature, his first start came in a draw with Chorley on 23rd October 2021.
On 15th June 2022 it was announced that Shaun had been released by the club at the end of his contract.
In a strange twist of events on 5th July 2022 it was announced that Shaun had returned to Nethermoor with the striker highlighting an initial mix-up with new manager Danny Ellis as the reason he was initially released from the club.
“There was a bit of a mix-up between us as Danny thought that I had left and was not coming back and as I was away on holiday I had missed his calls. We eventually got our chat and sorted everything out. All that he spoke about seemed to fit right and I want to return to Guiseley and prove what I can do.”
On 1st August 2022 it was announced that Shaun Tuton had left the club.
