Parkin remains committed to Guiseley

Businessman and Guiseley AFC benefactor Steve Parkin says he remains fully committed to the club.

Mr Parkin was linked earlier in the week with a bid to purchase Bradford City and Bradford Bulls in order to form a joint sporting club in the city. He maintains, however, that should this bid come to fruition he would still be committed to investing in Guiseley AFC.

Speaking to chairman Phil Rogerson earlier today he indicated that should any agreement be reached between the himself and the two Bradford clubs then he would have to comply with F.A regulations prohibiting a person from being a director at two clubs. Mr Parkin says that this wouldn’t prevent him from being involved with Guiseley AFC.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post, “I would remain a benefactor. After all the hard work that has gone into getting Guiseley this far, I could not let that go to waste.”
