We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of our former chairman and director Neil Shackleton.

Neil sadly passed away on 19th October aged 61 and was involved with the club just over a decade ago for a number of years.

Our thoughts are with Neil’s daughter Emma and all his family and friends at this devastating time.

Shackleton left a great legacy at Nethermoor Park with improved signage, tunnel area, dugouts and dressing rooms which he worked on during his time with the Lions. All are still in place today and have helped the club on and off the field.

Neil was a kind gentleman with time for everyone who is fondly remembered at Nethermoor and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

He was also a director with former sponsors of the club John Adams Coach Supplies who had several advertising boards and their logo adorned our kits and tracksuits for a number of years.

Neil’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 15th November from 2pm at St Michael’s Church, Church Street, Emley, Huddersfield, HD8 9RW.
