Guiseley will look to overcome Bradford Park Avenue for the second time in a week on Saturday, as the sides meet at Nethermoor in the FA Trophy.
Mark Bower’s Lions made it 12 games unbeaten in all competitions at the Horsfall Stadium on Monday, beating neighbours Avenue 3-0 in the Skrill North thanks to goals from Danny Forrest (2) and Gavin Rothery.
However, focus will now turn to Saturday’s FA Trophy tie with the Lions eager to avenge their FA Cup defeat at the hands of Avenue in September.
Despite Monday’s well-deserved victory, Bower is not taking anything for granted ahead of Saturday’s tie.
“I think it will be a completely different game of football,” he said.
“There will be different conditions, they’ve got a couple missing through suspension and we’ve got Rhys Meynell also missing through suspension.
“No two games are the same and it’ll be very difficult. I’ve not changed my mind that they are one of the best sides in this division. We won’t be taking anything lightly, we’ve got to go out there and apply ourselves the way we applied ourselves on Monday.
“If we do that we have every chance of going through.”
