Four Ducks!

On September 9th 2017 at the home match against Eastleigh, Guiseley AFC officially launched its support for the charity Give-A-Duck.

This season Guiseley AFC have chosen Give A Duck as their nominated charity and are hoping to raise enough funds across the season to allow the charity to purchase 100 “chemo-ducks”.

The fund raising will take many different forms but it is being supported by the whole club in its entirety, from the first team, Vixens, Academy, Community Foundation and the GAFC Supporters’ Club who will all get behind this fantastic cause and help to hit the target.

There will be a series of events and activities across the season to enjoy whilst helping this fantastic charity, so watch out for quiz nights, football tournaments, a golf day and cake bakes.

The launch, which included a Slam Ball Challenge organised by Nuffield Health, Guiseley, one of the club’s sponsors and a bucket collection raised £114.10, this will allow Give-A-Duck to purchase four chemo-ducks to be supplied to children undergoing cancer treatment.

Trudi Hannaford, Operations Manager, GAFC said “This is a great start to our fundraising campaign, both the club and Give-A-Duck would like to thank the supporters of GAFC and Eastleigh who gave so generously”.

The GAFC Supporters’ Club have kindly agreed to have a collection tin on their desk before all home matches for any loose change and over the rest of the season there will be a series of events to raise funds to meet the target – watch this space!
