Guiseley AFC Community Foundation’s Food Bank Collection is in its seventh successive year but this one is a little bit different.
With fans still not able to attend matches at Nethermoor because of the Covid-19 pandemic the Foundation have worked with their partners to arrange a new collection point.
You can drop off your donations at Guiseley Morrisons from 9th – 21st November.
The team will be at Nethermoor from 12pm until 3pm on Saturday 21st November to collect donations observing current social distancing guidelines.
The collection is once again for Otley Food Bank and Aireborough Children’s Centre, over the past six years Guiseley AFC’s players, staff, volunteers, supporters and the wider Aireborough Community have been extremely generous.
Otley Food Bank (part of Churches Together) provide support for people in crisis, not only in Otley but across the Aireborough District, Aireborough Children’s Centre have identified families in need of support.
The football club has received donations of several hundred pounds worth of food, toiletries, pet food and Christmas related treats, exceeding expectations each year.
Along with all the staple foods Christmas treats and other seasonal items are also required such as tinned meat and pies, tinned vegetables, instant mash and tinned potatoes, Christmas pudding, custard, jelly and other dessert items, stuffing and gravy granules, savoury and sweet biscuits, small selection boxes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate sugar and UHT milk, tinned fruit, soup, jam, fruit juice and cordial, dried fruit and nuts, pasta, rice, beans and pulses, cooking sauces, toiletries, toilet rolls, cat and dog food.
