Mark Bower
Mark is a very experienced defender. He is a former Bradford City captain, where he made over 250 League appearances. He joined the club in the summer of 2011 from Halifax Town.

Danny Ellis
Danny joined Guiseley in 2005 after four years at Valley Parade. Played for West Yorkshire and Bradford boys when they won the English Cup. A key defensive player, Danny is a great favourite with the Nethermoor fans for his consistent and fearless displays.

Simon Ainge (Captain)
2010 acquisition from Bradford Park Avenue, previously with Bradford City where he made several 1st team appearances. Versatile, quick and good in the air. At the beginning of the 2010-11 season, manager Steve Kittrick handed Ainge the captain’s armband, which he has made his own ever since with his commanding and committed team performances. He captained the club to its highest ever finish and led the Lions out for the Blue Square Bet North play-off final in against AFC Telford United in 2011.

Dave Merris
Dave is one of the club’s most loyal servants having been with the club for two seasons in the Unibond and now starting his second in the Blue Square Bet North. Before Guiseley, he was Player-of-the-Year and Fans’-Player-of-the-Year at York and made over 250 appearances for Harrogate, winning the Unibond Premier with them. A tireless worker both at left back and in midfield, Merris’ cultured left foot and dogged determination have once again made him a favourite with the fans at Guiseley. He won Player of the Year in 2010/11.

Michael Burns
Michael is a former Liverpool player. He was a member of their 2006 FA Youth Cup winning squad and is also a Junior England international. Since then he has played for Bolton and Carlisle before being loaned to Newport County during 2011. Joined Guiseley in June 2011.

Jamie Clarke
A summer 2011 signing from Gainsborough Trinity. Sunderland born, Jamie has a wealth of experience largely in the Football League, having played for Mansfield Town, Boston United and Grimsby Town. He is equally as effective in midfield as in defence.
