Wed 25 Jun Vinnie returns in new role

Guiseley AFC are pleased to be able to announce the Vince Brockie has been appointed as Reserve Team Manager, he will take up the appointment on his return from holiday at the end of next week.

Vince, the former influential midfielder with Guiseley's first team played professionally for Leeds United, after joining them from Greenock Morton in his native Scotland, and Doncaster Rovers. He is a UEFA B Licensed Coach who has made no secret of his desire to return to the club in a coaching capacity. He played at Wembley with Guiseley in the FA Vase final.
The 39 year-old was a schoolmate of former Glasgow Celtic midfielder Paul Lambert and many of his peers declared Vince the best player in the school!

His previous position was as manager at Harrogate Railway where he took them to a second round proper FA Cup appearance against Mansfield Town which they narrowly lost 3-2. He became manager at Railway after going there as assistant to Martin Haresign.

Despite being offered coaching roles with clubs at a higher level than Guiseley he has chosen to return to his old club where he was a great crowd favourite with his never-say-die attitude and great skills.
