Lions set to welcome Harrogate

Ahead of Wednesday’s Skrill North clash with Harrogate Town, there will be a pitch inspection at Nethermoor at 10.15am tomorrow.

Work will continue on the pitch throughout today as we seek to get the game on, with further updates available tomorrow morning via our official Twitter account and the website.

Provided the game takes place, Mark Bower’s men will be looking to make it 16 league games unbeaten, against a Harrogate side who are winless in their last three.

One of those three matches saw the Lions secure a 3-2 victory thanks to a hat-trick of penalties from Gavin Rothery at the CNG Stadium.

He felt the win was crucial in what is a busy run of fixtures, telling Tom Feaheny: “It can be hard, thereĀ  are a lot of games during a short period of time and you have to look after yourself during the Christmas and New Year period.

“We don’t train too much and we rest up as that is what you have to do.

“Harrogate are not a bad side, they are currently fighting it out in the play-offs and it will be a tough game again but we are a match for them.

“(The win on Boxing Day) keeps the momentum going, it’s a good win to get and we are now looking forward to the next few games.”

Saturday’s match sponsors are Coopers Bar and Brasserie, Guiseley.
